A little late but better late than never…kids Halloween party
For my daycare kids I planned a little party to celebrate Halloween. We had some snacks, watched some fun youtube kids music videos and crafted.
Bat with Moon craft
For the last few weeks we’ve been discussing nocturnal animals so this craft doubled up. For this craft I gave each child a precut bat, a paper plate moon and a variety of glitter glue. The children had lots of fun mixing the different glue colours and spreading them with their fingers.
For our snack I served a variety of items, cheese, roasted pumpkin seeds, sweet potato chips and a cute little orange pumpkin. I cut the cheese with little cookie cutters and so we ate little bears and acorns, and I drew the face on the tangerine with a sharpie.
I also served some slimy swamp smoothies.
- 1 cup kefir or plain yoghurt
- 1 cup mixed frozen fruits
- 5 swiss chard leaves (de-stemmed)
- 1 banana
- enough water to get the blender moving
This smoothie would be great as pond scum or any kind of goo.
