Painting with Nature

The last few days we have been going on nature walks and collecting all things that have recently fallen from above- pinecones of various shapes and sizes, acorns, maple keys and of course leaves.  Today we put those items to good use, they have become our paint brushes.

It’s easy,  set up a few colours of paint and offer some of the above found items.  Then let the children explore and create.  Its fun to feel all the textures and explore which way to use and what marks will be made by each.
